  潛固化劑的固化機理和傳統的濕固化機理不同,添加潛固化劑的濕固化聚氨酯體系,水分優先與體系中的潛固化劑反應并生成含活潑氫的基團(而不是與異氰酸酯基反應),活潑氫再與異氰酸酯基反應固化,整個過程不產生二氧化碳氣體,因此可避免諸如表面模糊(低光澤)、針孔及起泡等表面缺陷。

  醛(酮)亞胺與水反應得到二胺和醛(或酮)。噁唑烷與水反應得到β-醇胺和酮(或醛)。
